Madhya Pradesh woman tied to tree, thrashed by kin for leaving in-laws' house

A 20-year-old woman in MP was brutally thrashed for leaving her in-laws house. The woman was dragged by her hair, tied to a tree and beaten with sticks by her kin. Video of the incident, which took place in Alirajpur, went viral on social media. Police said the victim's four brothers were arrested on Friday for the June 28 incident. The woman, identified as Nanchi Ajnar, was seen dangling from the branch of a tree. The 20-year-old tribal woman pleaded for mercy as her kin hit her with sticks. Alirajpur SP, Vijay Bhagwani said, “A woman has been beaten by her family members for leaving her marital home. Incident occurred in Futtalab village, we have lodged a case at Bori police station.
