MAKHANE KI KHEER RECIPE(NAVRATRI SPECIAL)
INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup Lotus Seeds / Phool Makhana
1/2 Litre(500ml) Full Fat Milk
4 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 Tsp Green Cardamom Powder
1 Tbsp Ghee
1 Tbsp Chironji Seeds/ Charoli
Raisins
Few Chopped Dry Fruit(Cashews,Pistachios and Almonds)
METHOD:
1.Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan on medium heat
2.Add phool makhane in the pan
Roast them on medium heat for 2-3 minutes
3.Transfer in the same bowl
4.Heat again 1/2 tsp ghee in the same pan
Add chopped dry fruits and roast them on medium heat fro 1-2 minutes
5.Take out in the same plate
6.Heat milk in a deep thick bottom kadhai on medium flame
Let the milk come to boil
7.Grind the 1/3 cup roasted phool makhane into a coarsed powder
8.Take out in the same bowl
9.When the milk come to boil,low the flame
Add the ground powder of makhana
10.keep stirring and cook it for 5 minutes on low flame
11.Add sugar,raisins,chironji,cardamom powder and fried dry fruits
12.Stir and cook it again 5 minutes on low flame
13.When the milk thicken a bit,off the flame
Scrap the evaporated milk from sides and add to the milk
14.Makhane Ki Kheer is Ready
Serve it hot or chilled with some dry friuts
