RC receiver ESC power supply

Several people gave me helpful feedback on my Hard Drive Motor Fan Car video pointing out that I can power the receiver from the ESC. I am a complete novice when it comes to R/C equipment. I guess I could read the instructions but this feedback was really helpful, so thanks guys.
