This cue, which is a variation on the Might and Magic IV Main Theme, is used in every castle on the Lightside of Xeen. Because of this, the same track is awkwardly employed in both the good castles "Burlock" and "Newcastle", and both of the evil castles "Xeen" and "Basenji". The original concept was for each of the environment themes to have several random 'tags' from where to start and end the music. This idea was scrapped in the final game. However, for this particular track alone, in the final game, the code jumps forward to start at 1:28 into the composition (and plays the first segment after looping the first time). This change must have come late in production, as the version present in the demo does not have this jump. (This is the version without the jump) There are also two unused "tags" to this track, which were meant either to start or end the track differently. Something happened with this theme in the Macintosh version, as only the first portion is included. However, this track does start at the proper beginning, unlike the final PC DOS version which starts at a point near the middle. The game version (B) differs mainly by changing the original "Contrabass" to "Fretless Bass 1" for the first 45 seconds of the song (a change which is followed by the SC-55 Canvas version).
