Also, this is where listening to commentary is important even though it's hard to keep up with the fighting (ohhh, how I wish this had a dub @_@).
Feng Xiao Tian had made it this far using his 1st and 2nd soul skills alone. He didn't have to touch 3rd and 4th. With that, his team defeated ALL the rest.
This includes the school Lei Tin, which is the one Dai Mubai had to fight to the brink of power depletion with due to Yu Tianxin. We saw how beastly Tianxin was.
Feng Xiao Tian basically fits attack (enough strength that Mubai admitted was greater than his) and speed.
Tang San is basically fighting someone who belongs to two branches, SUPER high in attack and speed, with a disadvantage via zero immunity. Plus plant [ground] vs. wind [air].
Yet he managed to force Feng Xiao Tian to use not ONLY his 3rd soul skill, but his 4th to try and defeat him. Just by ingenuity, past life powered hand skills and steps, and Blue Silver Plant alone. Tang San didn't even use the hammer until the 4th, where he had to use raw power to go against raw power, and only the hammer has that.
Xiao Tian clearly lost in the beginning (first round) when with the good ol' fisticuffs, but that was a given (also my fave part of the fight). Tang San was a peak martial artist. He didn't even use Demon Eye. There's no way in hell Xiao Tian would have bested him in hand to hand melee, no matter the speed cheat skills.
He lost the second round as well. Cue 3rd skill (when that happens it gets a bit more evened out).
This entire battle, he was never able to fully suppress Tang San.
What surprises me is that Master agreed to the one v. one match, because he for sure knew certain situations will arise. He has observed Feng School thoroughly according to him. And he doesn't look at all upset or shocked that Tang San used the hammer when he was told not to? So I wish we got more of his thought process here. Maybe he saw it coming a long time ago that Tang San will be driven to use it (hence the mention of "that girl" in previous episode). Which means he knew that this battle might lead to it. Allowed it anyway.
I just feel like sometimes things are cut in the show.
Plus, I would think Tang San would use his spidey bone first, so I'm assuming it was actually damaged when he took that strike for that redhead. ....وسعت 1
