Hello Friends!!! Welcome to my channel. Today, I am sharing a very tasty and spicy recipe of Mangode . This is an easy and quick fritter or pakora recipe made with grounded and soaked , normally made of yellow moong dal lentils mixed with spices and herbs. But I’m sharing the video of Whole Green gram lentils . these Fritters / mangode are ideal evening snack recipe which tastes great with cup of tea. So, it can be a instant hit at your next kitty party or perhaps for your next planned potluck party. typically it tastes great when served by itself but also tastes great when served with green chutney or tomato ketchup. INGREDIENTS : - 1 Cup whole Green Gram lentil ( Soaked for 6-7 hours ). - 1 Tbsp of Coriander Seeds , Grounded Coarsely. - 1 Tbsp of Chaat masala, - Salt to taste, - 1 Tbsp of red chili Powder, - 3-4 Boiled and Diced Potatoes. - 1 Cup Chopped Spinach leaves. - 1 Chopped Onion, - 2-3 Tbsp of Gram Flour, - ½ Cup Chopped coriander Leaves, - 2-3 Chopped Green Chili , 1’ Grated ginger, - 1 chopped tomato, - 1 Cup green sauce , - Refined Oil. RECIPE : - Put soaked whole green gram lentil in a mixi jar , add a little water and make a fine paste of it. - Put paste in a mixing pot, add chopped spinach leaves, coriander leaves, chopped green chili and grated ginger, Coriander powder, chopped onion , Red chili powder, chaat masala , salt to taste and 2 Tbsp of Gram Flour for more crisp, Mix nicely . - A very fine batter for mangode is ready. - Put refined oil in a Wok and let it gets hot. - Once gets enough hot, take some batter in hand and drop in the Oil in batches, - Keep the flames on medium. - Stir occasionally, - Deep fry till turn golden brown and crispy. - Flip and turn frequently for evenly frying from all sides. - Once , turned golden brown and crispy , hold them on one side on ladle of wok to remove their excess oil. - Transfer them to a plate, Use paper Napkin for further reducing its excess oil. - Now , We deep fry the boiled potatoes, - Put potatoes in Wok and fry on medium flames . - Keep turning , stirring occasionally for even frying from all sides. - Fry till turn golden brown and crisy. - Once , turned golden brown and crispy , hold them on one side on ladle of wok to remove their excess oil. - Transfer them to a plate, Use paper Napkin for further reducing its excess oil. - Now , our both mangode and Potatoes are fried well. - Transfer them to a mixing pot. - Add Green sauce and Chaat masala , mix nicely. - A very tasty and spicy snack is ready. - Put them in a skewer, one by one, i.e. at first Prick one mangoda , then Potato then mangoda and potato and so on. One skewer is ready place it in a plate. - Prepare more skewers, - Now prepare salad of Tomato and Onion, - For that put chopped Tomato and chopped onion in a mixing pot. - Add green sauce and mix nicely. - Place it on a side of plate, - Garnish with green sauce over it. A very tasty and spicy Mangode Chaat is ready. Serve hot and enjoy with a cup of tea at any time . notes: • firstly, soak the Whole green gram well, else it is difficult to prepare smooth batter without adding much water. • also, You can add baking soda which is optional. however, it makes mangode more fluffy and tasty. • additionally, adding onion are optional, if you do not prefer. • finally, moong dal mangoda taste great when served hot and crispy.
