The parents were family friends and attended bible study/church events twice a week. Now I wasn’t a tremendous cook at 11, but was more then capable of making the kids Mac N Cheese and chicken nuggets! I fed them, bathed the youngest, read them stories, played games, and had them in bed sleeping when the parents got home! Granted I was very mature for my age, and had lots of practice with watching my two younger brothers! He died a painful death. He was given 10 months to live and lasted 3.5 years. He was tough. Even to the end. He made it longer then hospice expected and he fought. I raised my child to respect those who have and do wear the uniform. I watched my son walk up to a veteran and tell him thank you for the country I am able to live in and have the freedoms I do. The man started to cry because he had said that he hasn't never seen a child to show respect. We MUST teach our childern why we are able to be free and why we have a great country even with all the evil and crazy politics, we still live in a land where we are free and able to live as we feel. Turns out that all of them were Licensed Practical Social id="hidden38" class="buttons"> Workers and did not have degrees in psychology. All of them seemed to just want to validate my experiences rather than get to a root cause of my depression. I then found a Clinical Psychologist who had a Doctorate in Psychology. He allowed me to see that I was the source of many of my own problems and with that, we explored ways to overcome it and to actually grow from it. He never shied away from telling me when something was BS. And by speaking the actual truth (instead of being an echo chamber like the social workers tried to be) I'm a completely different person. I still have a mental illness of course, there's no cure for it, but I now know, thanks to him, how to work and grow in spite of it. ....وسعت

They were taught how to prepare different meats, and sanitizing the cutting board and not cross contaminate, they learned sewing and how to make a dress pattern or blouse etc. I think the video title was something like What Happened to the Home Ec courses? There was also a similar video on what happened to shop classes. And although one was more for girls and the other for boys, both had a token opposite sex… the footage is from that timeframe and black and white. I hope you have a chance to check it out. The opportunities available to people like him? Jobs? $30 trillion in debt? Or was he talking about culture? I don’t think he was talking about culture necessarily. I know that my recently passed former Marine Corps major relative said the same thing. That the opportunities for youth, just aren’t what they used to be. Now millennials are another story, but I say this as a member of Generation X who has lived through multiple recessions, including the great recession, a pandemic and other trials and I keep plugging along. I wonder if a lot of this is generational. We could’ve said the same thing about the people of the roaring 20s in the 1960s. They just weren’t serious. I don’t know. In junior high I liked wearing overalls a lot, I would play at home in my brothers clothes. Never did my parents feel like there was something wrong with me nor tried to get me therapy or “help” they let me be a kid they let me go through my phases. They never pushed it on me to “convert” into a boy. At age 15/16 I started liking girl stuff more and more. Point is let kids be kids! Let them find themselves. I spent days interviewing girls/women id="hidden50" class="buttons"> explaining what I needed done. I never did find 1 person that would sweep and then mop my floors. By the time I was done looking for someone I was so frustrated that my husband is now doing it to keep me from blowing a gasket. ....وسعت

@melodywilliams8720قبل 10 أشهر This happened to my family. My 13 year old daughter was going by a boys name at school and being addressed as a boy by her teachers. The school did not id="hidden51" class="buttons"> tell me. When I found out and addressed the school they said that it is my 13 year old's right to make this decision. She is not going back to that school next year. Please pray for my family and guard yours. They ARE coming after our kids. ....وسعت 124

I'm 57 years old and I had the privilege to meet two of my great grandmothers( on my mother's side).Their husbands died before their children were 10 years old as they worked on building the Panama Canal. on my father side, my great grandfather fought in, WWI and migrated from S Carolina to Pennsylvania because he shot a white man self-defense. He worked in the mines there(Mt Union) until he died. We have it so much easier it doesn't seem real! it's been so long ago but I can remember because I'm a child of the 70s. ....وسعت
