YES it's snowing in Australia and I vlogged it for you

YES it's snowing in Australia... and I vlogged it for you! Crazy right? The same place that has deserts also has snow! This was my first time ever experiencing Australian snow. Moran, Jesse, Asher and I set off on a 3 day trip to Icey creek and the area of Baw Baw to 'chase waterfalls', go on scenic walks, spend time in a cozy cabin and ski (or at least try to) On day one, we all gathered at Jesse and Asher's parent's house to borrow their 4WD, which was super helpful in the snow. From there we went to Coles to grocery shop for the trip. We bought snacks for the car ride, fruits and veggies etc... other than the windy windy roads which made me feel car sick, the car ride was accompanied by music and the game 'I spy with my little eye'. After a 2-3 hour drive, we arrived at The Cottage, an Airbnb that we found. It was super cozy and comfortable. It was freezing when we walked in but the fireplace and heating were top-notch. I honestly felt like going for a run as soon as we got there but it was pouring down so we changed into warm clothes and played board games. After a couple of hours, and a couple of showers, we cooked dinner! There's nothing more fun than cooking in a kitchen with multiple people - I don't know if that's just a me thing but I enjoy performing mundane tasks with people.. because it makes those tasks more enjoyable. After a couple of hours of chatting and mucking around, we finally headed to bed, we needed to get as much sleep as possible if we wanted to be energised for snow day! We woke up bright and early on day two, we layered up, ate breakfast, packed lunch and set off to the snow. Then came more windy windy roads, but this time we saw the snow gradually increase as we went up the mountain, this of course made us all feel better. I was feeling super excited and happy, but also nervous to ski for the first time. We finally made it to Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort. When we got out of the car I obviously wanted to capture everything, but that meant I wasn't able to wear gloves because I'd be touching the screen of the camera to adjust its settings. It backfired though because when I got to the ski shop I could barely feel them, it felt like someone poked a thousand needles through my hands. I quickly put them over a heater. After that whole situation, they measured us for our snow gear and we layered up even more! I rented the skies and a ski jacket from the place. THEN IT WAS TIME TO LEARN HOW TO SKI! Asher was Moran and I's instructor for the day. The one thing I realised, is that when you're walking with those ski boots you really can't move fast, it's one heavy step at a time. We made it to the main area and onto the lift but then slipt off of the chair lift at the top of the first hill. I mean it when I say I genuinely couldn't get up no matter how hard I tried. Pizza, Parallel, Push, Lean Forward, S's, knees together - I think those words are engrained in my brain now, engrained along with the many bruises on my body from that day. Nonetheless, it was SUPER fun, and thank you Asher for staying with me for hours and teaching me how to ski!! I think this is honestly some of the funniest footage I have. After a while, I started to get the hang of it and now I can't wait when I get the chance to try and ski for the second time. That night we had dinner all together and watched a movie. Day three was pretty chill, we were all very tired. We packed up our things and went to the games room before heading to a lake nearby. Jesse attempted to teach us how to 'rock skip'. Then we did a car wash before heading home. Thank you Moran, Jesse and Asher for making these three days so wholesome, wouldn't have wanted to spend them with anyone else ❤️ I hope you all enjoyed coming along with us!
